rummy is out
watching pres bush look like an idiot in front of the press corps on CNN right now… breaking news at the bottom of the screen says that Rumsfeld has stepped down!! i guess he figured he may as well quit before he was fired. hastert not running for minority leader (oh how i love how that sounds). there will be much more fallout i am sure… will be fun to watch.
is it wrong that i am getting so much pleasure from this??

What a beautiful day! Is it my imagination or are the flowers smelling a little bit sweeter, the breeze a little cooler, everybody a little bit nicer?
At the risk of sounding corny, I really do think it is morning in America. I so appreciate every one of you.
Especially now a group like PDH that maintains connections after the elections are pau is especially valuable as we build our community. Mahalo Bart, Rachel, and everybody out there who did what they could!

this day just keeps getting better and better! it never occurred to me that rumsfeld would resign (asked to resign?). the way it seems to me, he is being thrown on the sacrificial alter of bi-partisan cooperation, now that the dems are in a very good position to take the overall majority in congress. will anyone else go? i doubt it, but it would be nice (can anyone say impeachment?) and its nice to hear that hastert isn’t running for minority leader.
as i seem to be the natural born skeptic when it comes to the democratic party, even with this major win, i wonder if they will actually grow a spine. i’m all for bi-partisan cooperation and understand the need for compromise, but payback can be a bitch and since the democrats are back in from the cold, i can’t help but feel it’s time to remind the republicans what it feels like to be in the minority for a while. see what they think about the ‘nuclear option’ in the senate now! yeah!
also, is rummy’s position senate confirmed, or not? i can’t remember….
and lastly, i was in transit to work when bush spoke. does anyone know where online i can watch his speech?
