I spoke with Kim Coco Iwamoto at the Watata fundraising event on Friday and asked her what solutions she would propose for our elementary education system. I attended public school here and hoped to send my son to public school but found after the second grade I just couldn't do it.
She proposed peer review, which I appreciate. She also suggested that parents ought to be able to select the teachers they would like their kids to work with, another welcomed idea.

Sesnita Moepono is terrific. I met her during one of the party's sessions last year identifying goals, this one at Windward Community College. She was very intelligent, open, offered great ideas, and was very inclusive, welcoming fresh faces and ideas. I appreciate her very much and canvassed for her in her district, Alewa Heights. The people I spoke with in her neighborhood were very positive about her as a result of her work on the neighborhood board. I would vote to endorse her, absolutely.

I like your picks!

I can vouch for the character and skills of both Mazie Hirono and Karl Rhoads. We're lucky that such talented people are offering themselves for public service. And they both can use help *immediately* - we're just 12 days out & early walk-in voting is underway *right now*!

Mazie's headquarters is on Ward Ave. The number is 230-2006.

You can reach Karl's campaign at 271-5995 or 728-4230.

Keep up the good work!
