Ave Diaz on Maui is a good friend to Dennis and was the co-chair of his 2004 Presidential campaign in Hawaii. She is publicly supporting Mazie Hirono. I was the other co-chair and am supporting Gary Hooser as my first choice, though I also like several of the other candidates and am confident they would make good representatives in Congress. My assessment of views among our PDH members leads me to believe that Gary Hooser is probably the favorite choice, followed by Mazie and Brian Schatz. I have heard of support for several of the other candidates. I do not believe I have heard anyone speak of Clayton as their first choice. So I doubt the accuracy of this report. I HAVE forwarded the news article to Congressman Kucinich and will let you know his response.
